IRC Families and Players,

 The Board recently conducted a meeting and this communication is to inform you of decisions made for going forward with the 2020 Spring Season that was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  

 First, there were a couple of Board leadership positions that will change going forward.  Chris Hill will be taking over the duties and responsibilities of President for IRC Little League, and Mr. Anthony Broad will assume the responsibilities of Vice President.  

 With respect to the 2020 Spring Season, our season will continue to remain in a suspended state.  We are not canceling the season.  Currently our fields remain in a closed state for organized activities under the authority of the County.  No team practices or team activities are authorized on the fields at this time.  As long as the fields are opened by later this summer, the Board voted to resume practices on August 1, 2020, and games will resume after the Labor Day holiday.  Players’ registrations from Spring are still valid for this delayed start date. For all players that participate in this delayed start, the intent is to have them remain on the same team.  New players will be allowed to register, and for minors division and up, a draft for those new players will take place at a TBD date.  If the number of teams in each division need to be altered for this new start date, this will occur by the direction of the IRCLL Board.  

 Additionally, there is an an update on team pictures.  Unfortunately, there are some teams that need retakes.  All pictures that were taken on the evening of March 6th do not meet the standards for our awesome photographer due to the lighting conditions.  Teams that need retakes include Majors Curcio, Majors Mallory, Player Pitch Michels, TeeBall Maier, TeeBall Weller.  Your coaches will be reaching out to you on whether you would like a retake or a refund for your picture package.  For all other teams, your pictures will be arriving by the end of the week.  In an attempt to limit groups, Coaches have been asked to have one representative from each team meet with us to hand the pictures out.

 We all hope to see you at the fields soon and until then, we hope that you are all safe and healthy.  Our players and families are our number one priority and we can’t wait to play ball again. Thank you for your support!
