Meet the Manager/Coach Night

Good Morning Spring 2021 Families,

We are extremely excited to have all of you part of our League this year! As you might have seen in emails and Facebook posts, we were down to the wire in finding some volunteer Managers to lead all of our teams. As such, final posting of the rosters did not occur until the middle of this past week. As of 2/3/21 Managers should be starting to contact you. Please keep in mind these coaches are volunteers and all are working full time jobs during the day. I have stressed the importance of notifying their teams, and I believe they will get this done asap.

It is our intention that all families will be contacted, but I wanted you all to have the information here as well.

Monday, Feb. 8th at 6pm at the IRC Fields (WW James Park) will be meet your Manager/Coach Night. Please plan on attending. If you forget the name or do not have your managers name, not a problem. Board Members will be present in the Concessions Pavilion area to assist you. Teams that night will be spread out across Fields 3, 4, and 5.

Every team will have one practice later next week. They will either be on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. Starting the week of Feb 15th, every team will have two scheduled practices a week. The day the week of these practices will remain consistent all the way until Opening Day. All Managers will receive their teams practice schedule at a Manager/Coach meeting that is scheduled for later tonight.

Items your player will need for practices - glove, helmet, bat, comfortable pants/baseball pants, shirt. Each team should have a team helmet and bat, but it would be best to have your own. We do not want shared equipment if possible due to COVID-19.

When you come to the fields on Feb.8th, your Manager should identify your team colors for games, and get players shirt sizes and requested numbers. Do not leave the field Monday night without giving this info to your coach!

Opening Day is scheduled for Saturday, March 6th at 10am. Following this dates teams practice schedule will change, as we will be needing fields for games as well. Game/Practice schedules for post March 6th should be available by the end of this month (exact release date is TBD because we have to negotiate interleague game schedules with other Little Leagues in the area).
